Day 1: The Day of the Lord
Day 1: The Day of the Lord
Scripture:
"For the day of the Lord is near upon all the nations. As you have done, it shall be done to you; your deeds shall return on your own head." — Obadiah 1:15
Reflection:
The day of the Lord serves as a reminder of God’s universal justice. For Edom, it meant judgment for their betrayal and pride. For us, it’s a call to examine our hearts and live in humility before God. As you reflect on this verse, ask yourself: Are my actions aligned with God’s standard of justice and mercy?
Through Christ, we find hope even in the face of judgment. He took the penalty for our sins and invites us to walk in His ways. Let this truth inspire you to live with purpose and humility, knowing that God’s justice is perfect and His grace is unending.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to live in light of Your justice and mercy. Teach me to walk humbly, love deeply, and serve faithfully. Thank You for the grace offered through Jesus Christ. Amen.
Action Step:
Reflect on one area of your life where pride or self-reliance might be holding you back. Surrender it to God in prayer today.
